Team 54 Project part of a nationwide trash challenge in Bhutan

Team 54 Project country coordinator for Bhutan Tashi Dawa submits this report of the collaboration between TEAM 54 PROJECT INTERNATIONAL and the youth based group (Youth In Action unit) YDF with the Government of Bhutan and the local government Samtse Dzongkhag Municipal official in a mass clean-up exercise in on 31st March 2019.

Team 54 Project were excited to take part in nationwide trash tag Challenge, where people clean dirty area and post in the social media.

Despite heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning in the morning, members took part all with other citizens .
We had staffs from Municipal, Desuups, Faculty and trainees from Samtse College of Education, teachers and students from Samtse Higher Secondary School, representatives and volunteers from business community. Our coordinator believe that bringing people together to achieve the task of create a clean environment was the highlight of the campaign.

Team 54 Project will love to appreciate all our members in Bhutan especially our coordinator plus we want to sincerely thank Dasho Dzongdag and Dzongkha administration (Environment and beautification officer), all the Municipal staffs (waste management, urban planner and drivers), president and faculty members of Samtse College of Education, Desuups and indeed to all other volunteers.

We would also like to thank Samtse business community for serving us with refreshments.

We made it and it was the great success. Each and everyone of you must be proud of yourself.
